So, y'know that mod project that I've been working on because it lets me pretend to be a real game developer? Here's a story to tell.
Once upon a time there were two game projects, both using the same game as a basis. At the time they became aware of each other, one was older, more organized in its design, with artists, writers and worldbuilders hard at work. The other was newer, but had a far superior technical base, including several useful tools and had some surprisingly adept technicians available.
The leaders of these projects realized that many of their goals were the same, and in particular, the map of the worlds they were creating, were almost identical. For the worlds they were creating were adaptations of worlds created long ago, as events in a classic series of games, and they happened to occur in order one after the other. So, being good-natured and reasonable people, they decided to collaborate.
Project Britannia is the result -- all the material that both Ultima V:Lazarus and Ultima VI:Archon are sharing, is here. The tools might not impress too many people right now, but the game screenshots and Overworld maps should impress many.
This is for real, folks. We're taking care of business.
