I'd hoped to go to Austin this afternoon. There was a free showing of Shakespeare's Two Gentlemen of Verona at a pub in Austin.
I'd looked forward to this after reading about Shakespeare in Wineland, and how it spawned 20 years' worth of classic theatre in the Austin area, and part of me will probably always wish I'd gone.
My problems? One, it's a 90-minute drive to mid-town Austin. Two, I have to work tomorrow. Three, money's tight as I'm another week from a paycheck.
Four, I'm planning to go to Austin on Wednesday for an open house offered by Austin Community College's Video Game Development track of courses. Like Shakespeare, it's a free show, and if anyone was thinking about going, I should be there.
While I'm at it, I could probably use crash space on Sept. 8, 9 and 10 for the AGC. Would save me a drive and hotel fees.
